勵(lì)志英語(yǔ)美文：攀登峰頂

　　導(dǎo)語(yǔ)：高處有高處的景，低處有低處的美。若要看得無(wú)限風(fēng)光，必須付出無(wú)限體力。更重要的是：不論你上多高，都要回來(lái)，走的越遠(yuǎn)，回來(lái)時(shí)就越麻煩。

　　Whenever the sun dropped and the blue sky came up, my father and I used to climb the mountain near my house. Walking together, my father and I used to have a lot of conversations through which I learned lessons from his experiences. He always stressed to me, "You should have objectives and capacity like the mountain."

　　每當(dāng)太陽(yáng)快要下山，蔚藍(lán)的天空浮現(xiàn)出來(lái)時(shí)，我和我的父親總會(huì)去攀登我家附近的那座大山。我們一邊攀登一邊聊起很多話題。父親的經(jīng)驗(yàn)之談讓我受益匪淺。他總是鼓勵(lì)我：“你要有山一般堅(jiān)定的目標(biāo)和寬闊的胸懷�！�

　　This has largely influenced my life. Without such mountaineering opportunities, we couldn't have had enough time to spend together because my father was very busy himself. I believe mountaineering is really beneficial. It gave me time to talk with my father and to be in deep contemplation as well as develop my patience. I loved traversing the top of the mountains, getting away from the routine of city life, the noise and the pollution, and being able to breathe fresh air.

　　這些話對(duì)我的人生產(chǎn)生了深刻的影響。父親總是很忙，要不是都喜歡爬山，我們不可能有很多時(shí)間呆在一起。我堅(jiān)信爬山的確很有好處——它讓我有了和父親暢談和沉思的時(shí)間，同時(shí)也培養(yǎng)了我的耐性。我愛(ài)爬山，它可以使我遠(yuǎn)離城市的嘈雜和污染，呼吸新鮮的空氣。

　　One time we climbed Palgoly Mountain, one of the highest mountains in Korea. It was so challenging for me because I was only ten years old. During the first few hours of climbing, I enjoyed the fresh air, the birds singing, and the beautiful dances of butterflies; but as time passed, I got a pain in both of my legs. At that moment, I wanted to quit climbing.

　　一次我們爬Palgoly山——韓國(guó)的最高峰之一。對(duì)我來(lái)說(shuō)，那簡(jiǎn)直是一個(gè)巨大的挑戰(zhàn)，因?yàn)槟菚r(shí)我只有10歲。開(kāi)始的幾個(gè)小時(shí)，我還享受著空氣的清新，聆聽(tīng)鳥(niǎo)兒的歡叫，欣賞蝴蝶的翩翩起舞。但慢慢地，我的雙腿酸疼起來(lái)。就在那時(shí)，我想要放棄。

　　Actually, I hated it at that moment, but my father said to me, "Spring is a season when everything comes to life again. The mountain and field where we are standing are embroidered with flowers and trees. You can always see a beautiful sky at the top of the mountain, but you can't see it before you reach the top. You can always enjoy the scenes of many waterfalls, temples and countless peaks and valleys at the top of the mountain, but you can't see it when you are halfway up. Only there at the top, can you embrace all of those things, just like in life."

　　事實(shí)上，當(dāng)時(shí)我恨透了爬山。但父親對(duì)我說(shuō)：“春天是萬(wàn)物復(fù)蘇的季節(jié)。此刻，山巒和田野被樹(shù)木和鮮花裝扮。你總能在峰頂看到美麗的天空，但在抵達(dá)峰頂前，你是看不到的。在山頂你也能欣賞到很多瀑布、寺廟、無(wú)數(shù)山峰和峽谷的美景，但這一切在半山腰卻看不到。只有在山頂，你才有幸福飽覽這一切。生活也是這樣�！�

　　At that time, I was too young to understand his thoughts, but after that, I got new hope and confidence. Finally, I found myself standing at the top of the mountain. And there, I could see the whole of the sky, which was as clear as crystal.

　　那時(shí)，我還小，無(wú)法理解他的話，但這些話卻使我充滿了希望和信心，最終爬到了峰頂。放眼過(guò)去，整個(gè)天空如水晶般澄澈。
